Nocardia africana is a pulmonary pathogen which has been recently isolated from human in Sudan. There is great need for proteomic investigations but they are sparse at present. First attempts on N. africana SD 769 (DSM44491) visualized 74 protein of molecular weights between 10 -250 kDa and isoelectric points between 47. Due to the limited database information, identified proteins were assigned by homology to sequences from the other bacterial species such as Staphylococcus aureus, Oceanobacillus iheyensis, N. farcinica and Yersinia pestis
